Elsby & Co is a medium-sized accountancy firm operating in the financial services sector, with around 40 users across its business. Following the retirement of a long-serving IT contractor, the firm sought a proactive and strategic technology partner.

Fuse CS had previously supported Elsby on a contingency basis, and in 2025, the relationship evolved into a full-service engagement. 

The Challenge 

With the departure of their internal IT lead, Elsby & Co faced a gap in technical support and a broader challenge around innovation. Processes had become entrenched, and the business lacked the time and expertise to explore modern technologies that could improve efficiency. Leadership recognised the need for a more agile, forward-thinking approach to IT that could match the firm’s pace and growth ambitions 

Fuse CS’s Response

Fuse CS stepped in with a tailored support model built around an "IT Champion" layer, a proactive, embedded resource designed to empower staff and reduce day-to-day friction. Weekly site visits and strategic consultations ensured a personal touch, making Fuse CS feel like part of the team rather than an external provider.

Services included infrastructure management, hardware procurement, leased line installation, and mobile contract provisioning.

Microsoft 365 and Azure formed the backbone of the technology stack, with agile delivery methods used to accommodate the firm’s dynamic environment. 

Delivery Journey 

The engagement began with contingency support in 2019 and transitioned to full-service delivery in 2025. Within the first year, Fuse CS rolled out 40 new laptops, installed a new leased line, and introduced a mobile phone contract. Legacy systems were phased out, and staff were empowered through the IT Champion model and targeted training sessions. The firm also achieved Cyber Essentials certification, reinforcing Elsby & Co’s commitment to secure, modern operations. 

Outcomes & Impact 

Fuse CS’s involvement has significantly improved operational efficiency and user satisfaction. The IT Champion model reduced daily issues and increased uptime, while faster internet speeds enhanced workflows across cloud-based applications. Security standards were elevated through tenant hardening and strategic oversight. Staff now enjoy greater flexibility, faster support, and a clearer sense of direction in their use of technology. 

The partnership has also boosted confidence across the business. Leadership feels assured in the robustness of their IT services, and staff are more empowered and engaged. The relationship is built on trust, transparency, and collaboration - values that have become central to Elsby & Co’s digital journey.
